The thing with Disney is that you are going to find pretty much the same prices no matter where you look. So, what I do, is look for service over price. Disney is not an in-expensive place to go, that is something that can’t change. But there is a lot to do and it really is worth the money, you will have a great time.

Disney is HUGE. There is a ton to learn about it, if you have never been there, or it has been a while, then you will definitely want to use a travel agent. They will really help you to get the best possible vacation, for your money.

A lot of people say you can find better prices elsewhere and find the answers to your questions online. That really isn’t true. For one thing, sites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc. are higher than Disney or a Travel Agent for Disney hotels. Not to mention there can be nightmares when you use these sites with your reservation, definitely something you want to avoid if you can. Furthermore, you really can’t find all the answers to your questions online. My agent has been so great with all my trips, answering my questions, helping me to plan, etc. It is wonderful to have someone with so much knowledge so easily accessible. I really suggest looking into using an agent, you won’t be sorry.

If you find the moderate and deluxe resorts to be a little over priced, you may want to look into a value resort. It will save you a little money, and you will still be in a nice Disney resort. I’m not going to say the Deluxes and Moderates aren’t nice, because they all are. But if you want to save money, the value would be good to look into.

My favorite moderate is probably Coronado. It is a very nice resort. Even though it is a moderate resort, it feels a little like one of the deluxes. That is a popular resort for conferences, so it is a little more classy. Plus, the resort tends to be quieter since there are fewer children and mostly business people there. It is really nice.

I love all the deluxes, it is hard to choose just one. The Disney Vacation Club resorts are really great. I really like Saratoga. They are roomy and provide an all around nice stay. Yacht and Beach is probably one of my favorite resorts. I love that you can walk right to EPCOT and even MGM if you want. The resorts are beautiful, the area is beautiful, there is lots to do and you can take a boat right over to the Boardwalk. It is really nice.

Grand Floridian is nice. It is a very classy resort, not quite as laid back as some of the other resorts. But it is beautiful. Polynesian is another of my favorites. I love the atmosphere, it is really great.

You mentioned Animal Kingdom as well. The theming here is great. If you want to stay here, I would definitely upgrade to the Savannah view room. It is really worth the upgrade and makes staying the resort wonderful. Wilderness is also really great. It is the least expensive deluxe, but still very nice.

You really can’t go wrong with a Disney resort, they are wonderful. The values can be a little noisy. More families stay there, as well as groups. So they tend to be really busy. The Movies and Pop are my choice for the values since they are a little newer.

I always use tripadvisor.com to check out hotels whereever I go- and we went to Jamaica just last month. They have a forum where you can ask questions about specific hotels, and also contact people directly who stayed in a particular place. We stayed in the Grand Palladium Hotel resort and loved it- not sure what you call luxory, but the rooms compare to the best rooms in Vegas, and the resort itself was fantastic. Wonderful giant pool, other pools too, and a great beach and water sports area. They keep it looking great, full of workers working everywhere. We had an early flight, left at 5:30 and there were guys out working on the grounds in the dark!
