How soon does one need to travel to US after issuance of 10 yr visa (issued in Dec 2006)? ?
I am an Indian citizen 26 yr of age and got 10 year US visa (family visitor visa) issued in Dec. 2006 but haven’t traveled as of yet. Now I am planning to visit my sister in Maryland (this month). Someone told me that one needs to travel to US within 6 months of visa issuance.
Is this true? Is my visa invalid now? I am really confused and would be glad if this can be clarified. Thanks!
As long as your visa is still valid you can travel. If you still have doubt, call the US Embassy and ask them.

How do I reset the combination lock on Hideo Wakamatsu suitcase?
Does anyone out there know how to change the combination lock on a Hideo Wakamatsu suitcase? I’ve bought a new one and none of the instructions are in English. I’m sure it’s pretty easy, but I don’t want to go proding and poking about and breaking it!! It set to 000 at the moment but I want to put my own number in. If anyone know’s, I’d be very grateful. What can I salvage, if anything, from my old desktop that is compatible with my laptop?
I’ve got an old desktop and everything works in it, but it won’t power on. I’ve given up on repairing it and now I’d like to know if I can use any of the old parts in my new laptop. I got an enclosure for my harddrive already. I’m pretty sure the RAM won’t be compatible with a laptop will it? and what else if anything will?
You can use the following components with your laptop:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Hard Disk Drive (by putting it in an enclosure)
Thats about it with the parts that you can use on your laptop. All other parts would not be compatible with you laptop, purely because they are either physically incompatible or logically incompatible with your laptop.

When i travel can i carry a backpack along with my carry-on luggage onto the airplane?
I forget if they allow a backpack and a carry on.
It depends on how big the backpack is. You can bring a small backpack on if it will fit under the seat in front of you. I’ve been on 4 different flights in the past 4 days and they all were making a point of being strict with carry on luggage. In the preboarding announcement on the flight today, they specifically included a small backpack that fits under the seat in front of you in the list of things that were permitted as your personal item.

Computer – laptop !?
My laptop is not working..it wont turn off no matter how many times i push the power button..i was checking my emails when all of a sudden the screen became blue and starting flashing and like i said i cant even turn the computer off to restart it or anything !!…i thought maybe if i unplug it the power will drain out but thats not working…i cant even use the mouse or anything because i cant see the screen..just plain blue flashing…HELP !!..what should i do ?!..thanks..=)
The power button on laptops only ever switches off by pressing and holding. Sometimes for as long as 15 seconds. Try pressing and holding it until it powers off.
If it *still* won’t die, remove the cord and remove the battery. You should also look into what’s causing it to crash as well. If its a bluescreen on a laptop its most likely a driver or other software issue.

We’re trying to decide what to throw at the bride and groom at a summer wedding in New Orleans. I’m worried that bubbles in those tiny wedding bottles or confetti or rose petals will fall a couple of feet from where they are blown/thrown, and not even fall on the bride and groom. Best way to fold jeans into luggage?
I just need to know the best way possible to fold jeans, making them as compact and insignificant as possible.
I don’t care about tips on saving cost, as luggage fees are the least of my worries. I’m on Christmas break as of Friday, for three whole weeks, and I need to fit lots of stuff. I generally just folded them into 3rds, but I want to know if there is a better, more logical way?
Im on xmas break to i just got done packing because i leave tomorrow by plane. I rolled all my clothes to fit in my small doufle bag as a carry on. so just roll them up so they done take that much space. im also taking a backpack for my laptop to be in because i am not checking luggage. rolling leaves less wrinkles than folding do.
